Are you ready to invest?

Buying your first investment property is such an exciting time.  But its not always the easiest process.  There are several things that you can do in advance of your purchase to make the process flow much more smoothly.  Here are just a few of the things I suggest to start getting ready to purchase your first Raleigh-Durham investment property.  If you would like to talk about these further, call me at any time (919) 260-2507

  1. Get pre-qualified for your investment financing- This will let us know what types of homes we can look at.  This could trim several days from the process.  I have quite a few local contacts listed online at http://www.tiffanyelder.com/ServiceProfessionals . Feel free to contact them at your convenience. They'll take good care of you!
  2. Begin to think about how much and what type of an investment property you can honestly afford - We have all had times in our past when we say, "Oh $40 here and $100 won't be that big of a deal."  There will be occasional expenses related to maintaining an investment property, beyond the mortgage payment and these must be accounted for up front.
  3. Research the area - Most people chose their investments based on location.  You should check into things like employment, market changes, and other items your potential tenants/buyers will be interested in.  Subscribe to my Real Estate Blog at  http://www.tiffanyelder.com/RaleighDurhamBlog to remain up to date on changes in the Raleigh-Durham market.

Doing these three very simple things will trim days - maybe even weeks - off of the time until you're benefitting from your next investment property.  Again, if you have any questions, or if you're ready to move forward let me know.

Sincerely,
